2/3 cup Sucanat or brown sugar
¼ cup brown rice syrup
2 Tbs. low-sodium tamari or soy sauce
1 cup peanuts
½ tsp. baking soda

Oil a 9” square pan. Set aside.
Combine all ingredients, except baking soda, in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Simmer for 5 minutes,
stirring occasionally.
Remove pan from heat and stir in baking soda. The mixture will foam and become slightly opaque. Immediately pour into
prepared pan and cool.
When completely cool, remove from pan and break into small pieces. Store, covered, in single layers.
