Breakfasts 4 Grain Pancakes and Waffles

Recipe Ingredients

3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/3 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups buttermilk*
1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
3 Tbs. maple syrup
2 eggs, beaten, or equivalent egg replacer

Recipe Directions

Combine dry ingredients and liquid ingredients in separate bowls. Stir together and cook as you would for pancakes or

*To make buttermilk, use 1 Tbs. lemon juice or vinegar per cup of milk. Combine and let sit for a few minutes to curdle the
milk. Works for either dairy or non-dairy milks.
